James Dust is a German trance DJ and producer known for his energetic performances and emotive productions within the electronic music scene. His passion for music ignited at the young age of 15 when he began DJing in youth clubs. By 18, he had already secured gigs in larger clubs across Germany, including residencies at venues such as 360 Degrees in Bochum, Delta in Duisburg, and Twister Dance. Throughout his career, James has shared the stage with notable artists like Cosmic Gate, Alex M.O.R.P.H., and Mauro Picotto.
A pivotal moment in James\’s career occurred during a 2006 performance at Club 360 Degrees alongside Alex M.O.R.P.H., which deepened his commitment to trance music. His style encompasses a broad spectrum, from old-school and uplifting to tech trance, aiming to create immersive experiences that resonate emotionally with audiences.
Beyond his DJing endeavors, James is dedicated to uniting the trance community. He co-organized the Daybreakerz events, with notable editions in Scheveningen, Netherlands, in 2017, and in collaboration with Darren Porter in Bottrop, Germany, in 2018.
In the studio, James has released several tracks that have gained recognition within the trance scene. His 2018 release “Bagged” received support from Manuel Le Saux, encouraging further productions like “Crush” featuring Alex Habel. Other successful tracks include “Flying to the Moon,” “Crash,” “Fly with You” (Digital Rush Remix), and “Watching the Waves,” many of which have charted on Beatport and received global DJ support.
