David Carlotti is an Italian music producer best known for his involvement in the 1998 trance project Miss Jane, which gained international recognition with their rendition of “It\’s a Fine Day.”
In collaboration with fellow Italian producers Arthur Pellegrini and Carmine Sorrentino, Carlotti reimagined “It’s a Fine Day,” originally an a cappella track by Jane from 1983. Their version infused the song with trance and progressive house elements, featuring the original vocals by Jane. Released on the Italian Hitland label, the track saw widespread acclaim, particularly after a remix by German DJ and producer ATB. This remix propelled the song onto various international charts, including a peak position of number 5 on the UK Singles Chart in February 1992.
Beyond “It\’s a Fine Day,” Carlotti continued his collaboration with Sorrentino and Pellegrini under the Miss Jane moniker, releasing the single “LaLalà” in 2000. While this follow-up did not achieve the same level of success, it showcased the trio\’s commitment to producing engaging trance music.
