Ferry Corsten was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and developed an early interest in music. As a teenager, he was inspired by electronic music and began producing tracks in the early 1990s. His first notable success came in 1996 when he released “Don’t Be Afraid” under the alias Moonman.

Corsten gained global recognition in the late 1990s and early 2000s with influential trance productions. Under the alias System F, he released the classic track Out of the Blue (1999), which became a worldwide hit and helped define the euphoric trance sound. His success continued with remixes for major artists such as U2, Moby, and Faithless.
In 2003, he released his debut studio album, Right of Way, featuring hits like Rock Your Body, Rock. This album marked a shift towards electro-infused trance and demonstrated his versatility as a producer.
