Introduction
Riparia Records is a modern trance label founded by Polish trance innovator Indecent Noise, created with the goal of providing a home for emotionally rich, melodically driven, and artistically uncompromising trance music. Since its launch, the label has become one of the most respected independent platforms within the contemporary uplifting trance scene.
Named after the extinct Riparian Rabbit (Bunolagus monticularis), one of the world\’s rarest mammals, Riparia Records was conceived not merely as a record label but as a symbol of preservation—preserving both endangered wildlife awareness and the emotional spirit of authentic trance music.
The label has developed a reputation for releasing music that emphasizes melody, atmosphere, storytelling, and artistic individuality rather than following commercial trends. Through its carefully curated catalog, Riparia Records has established itself as a respected destination for listeners seeking trance music with genuine emotional depth.
Founding Philosophy
Riparia Records emerged from Indecent Noise\’s desire to create a platform free from stylistic restrictions.
After years of success on labels specializing in uplifting trance, tech trance, and harder trance styles, Indecent Noise envisioned an imprint that would prioritize creativity and emotional expression above market expectations.
The core principles of Riparia Records include:
- Supporting authentic trance music.
- Encouraging artistic freedom.
- Promoting emotional storytelling through melody.
- Maintaining high production standards.
- Providing opportunities for both established and emerging artists.
This philosophy quickly resonated with producers seeking a label that valued musical substance and originality.
Symbolism Behind the Name
One of the most unique aspects of Riparia Records is the meaning behind its name.
The label takes inspiration from the Riparian Rabbit, an extremely rare and endangered species native to South Africa.
By choosing this name, founder Indecent Noise sought to create a connection between music and environmental awareness. The symbolism reflects the label\’s broader mission of protecting and preserving something valuable—in this case, the emotional and artistic essence of trance music.
This concept has become an important part of the label\’s identity and distinguishes Riparia Records from many other trance imprints.
Musical Direction
Emotional Trance as a Foundation
At the heart of Riparia Records lies a commitment to emotional trance.
The label consistently releases music that prioritizes feeling, atmosphere, and melodic development. Rather than relying solely on peak-time energy, many Riparia releases focus on creating immersive emotional journeys.
Tracks often explore themes such as:
- Hope
- Reflection
- Inspiration
- Personal growth
- Human connection
- Inner transformation
These emotional qualities have become central to the Riparia sound.

Building a Home for Artistic Freedom
One of Riparia’s defining strengths is its willingness to support producers with unique creative voices.
Rather than enforcing a strict label formula, Riparia encourages artists to develop their own musical identities.
This approach has attracted a wide variety of producers, from established veterans to emerging talents seeking an environment that values innovation.
As a result, the label\’s catalog remains diverse while maintaining a consistent emotional and melodic character.
Relationship with Indecent Noise
Although Riparia Records features numerous artists, the label remains closely associated with its founder, Indecent Noise.
The imprint reflects many of the qualities found throughout his own productions:

However, Riparia differs from some of Indecent Noise\’s harder work by placing greater emphasis on atmosphere, melody, and emotional storytelling.
