Signalrunners was a transatlantic trance duo formed in 2003, comprising Scottish DJ and producer Alan Nimmo and American DJ and producer Andrew Bayer. The two met on an online dance music forum, where they began by remixing each other’s tracks before deciding to collaborate formally. Their complementary skills led to a productive partnership that contributed significantly to the trance music scene during their active years.

In 2006, Signalrunners released “Aria Epica” on Anjunabeats, which was featured on the label\’s compilation “Anjunabeats Volume 4.” This track, along with others like “Meet Me In Montauk” and “These Shoulders” featuring Julie Thompson, became standout pieces in their discography. “These Shoulders” was notably included in Above & Beyond\’s “Trance Around the World 250” top tracks of 2008.

Beyond their original productions, Signalrunners were known for their remixes and collaborations. Their partnership with Mike Foyle on \”Love Theme Dusk\” received substantial support, including regular airplay on BBC Radio 1 and endorsement from Armin van Buuren.

In 2007, the duo founded Fraction Records, further contributing to the electronic music landscape by supporting and releasing tracks from emerging artists.

After disbanding in 2008, both members pursued individual careers. Andrew Bayer continued to make a significant impact in the electronic music scene, releasing multiple albums and earning Grammy nominations for his work with Above & Beyond.
